Current information regarding InnoTrans

On 21 April 2020, in order to contain the spread of SARS-CoV-2 the Senate of Berlin imposed a ban on staging large events, in particular trade fairs, until 24 October 2020. As a result, it will not be possible for Messe Berlin to hold InnoTrans as originally planned from 22 to 25 September 2020.

After consulting with the leading market players and founding industry associations Messe Berlin has therefore decided to postpone InnoTrans.

InnoTrans will now take place from

27 to 30 April 2021

The following InnoTrans will take place as scheduled in September 2022.

Please note the revised construction and dismantling periods, deadlines for submitting documents, as well as deadlines for placing orders. An overview of these dates will be available in summer in our flyer "Your next steps" on our website.

We have put together additional information about the postponement and other procedures below.

Information for exhibitors

Construction begins:
20 April 2021 / 12.00 a.m.

Construction ends:
26 April 2021 / 03.00 p.m. (structural work)
26 April 2021 / 06.00 p.m. (decorative work)

InnoTrans:
27 – 30 April 2021

Dismantling begins:
30 April 2021 / 06.00 p.m.

Dismantling ends:
4 May 2021 / 06.00 p.m.

In principle, any stand arrangements which were confirmed by 21 April 2020 will remain valid. This does not apply to the locations of rail vehicles on the outdoor display area (re Item 3).

All exhibitors will be notified of possible changes of the hall allocations in autumn 2020. Re-allocation may take place to other hall areas. However, we will make every effort to minimise this.

Areas reserved on the rail track and outdoor display area are subject to different rules. It is possible that vehicle places will be re-allocated, which means that previously confirmed vehicle locations can no longer be guaranteed. Exhibitors will be notified accordingly in good time.

Down payment invoices already issued for InnoTrans in September 2020 will have to be cancelled. You will receive a new down payment invoice for InnoTrans 2021 with a revised period from 27 - 30 April 2021. Payments already made will automatically be detailed on the new invoice.

The cancel note sent by us is only valid for the down payment invoice that has already been issued. Provided you have not cancelled your participation in InnoTrans 2021 due in time, your registration for the upcoming InnoTrans 2021 remains valid.

So there is no further need for you to act at the moment. The new down payment invoice for InnoTrans from 27 - 30 April 2021 will be sent out in summer 2020.

Registrations made for co-exhibitors will remain valid for InnoTrans 2021.

Orders placed with the BECO Webshop automatically remain valid for the revised event dates, including for exhibitor permits and ticket vouchers.

Following an exhibitor’s cancellation of participation in InnoTrans, due to its postponement, within the specified time period, any orders placed with the InnoTrans BECO Webshop will be cancelled free of charge. This does not apply to bespoke orders, which will be assessed on an individual basis.

Orders placed with the InnoTrans Webshop of Capital Catering will automatically remain valid for the revised event dates.

Catalogue entries, additional orders and upgrades for the Virtual Market Place, app and print catalogue will automatically remain valid for the revised event dates.

Virtual Market Place entries will appear in August 2020 and expire as normal prior to InnoTrans 2022.

Expenses paid to third parties, e.g. for hotel/travel costs, visa fees, costs for stand construction, agencies, catering and staff cannot be refunded by Messe Berlin GmbH. Services booked with third parties are the subject of a contract between the parties who entered into the relevant agreement. Please contact the operator in question.

Information for trade visitors

Admission tickets ordered from the InnoTrans ticket shop will be cancelled. Payments made for tickets will be refunded. New orders can be placed for tickets to InnoTrans 2021.
